Before I became a spiritual medium, I spent many years studying different religions. Many religions speak of angels. I never realized how personal a relationship could actually be with these spiritual companions. I spent many years of my life living alone and through this time I intuitively knew I wasn’t really alone. Whether it was a childhood invisible friend, or finding myself safe while living dangerously. I came to a point in my life when I desperately wanted to know who was my guardian angel. When living in New York City I had great access to many wonderful teachers. After months of sitting with my teacher in meditation, I was able to meet my spirit guides. My teacher taught me how to communicate with these guides. I was overjoyed when I realized I was never alone.
Spirit guides and angels are the same. It depends on your belief system on what name is more comfortable to you. Once you learn the personality of your guides they will help you decide if they want to be known as an angel or a spirit guide.
I have a guardian angel that has watched over me since birth, and other guides who help me learn life’s lessons. Each have different personalities and it is enjoyable to get to know each companion. A guardian angel loves you unconditionally, does not judge you, guides you fearlessly, and never leaves you, no matter how many mistakes you make. All you have to do is open your heart and listen.
During a session with a client the spirit of her mother Gail, gave me great insight. Gail told me that after her husband died she spent the next thirty years living alone. As time went on her friends all died and she became more and more alone. Gail was grateful for her health and that she was able to care for herself, but during her every day task she felt so isolated. Her children would call her daily which helped but the loneliness overshadowed her life. She confessed that there were times that she felt a loving presence near. One time she woke up and saw a woman watching over her, but then the woman quickly disappeared. She did not want to tell her children in fear that they would think she was crazy. She explained to me that when she took her last breath she saw a beautiful light. She saw the same woman within that light. This woman took her hand and introduced herself as her angel, and then led her to her husband. They walked into the light together. Gail told me that for all those years that she thought she was alone she could have known and enjoyed the companionship of her angel.
I knew from the moment I started my spiritual journey that I wanted to know who was guiding me. I worked for years in developing my relationship with my spirit companions.
