Clients ask me, “If I move will my love one still be with me?” Or they tell me it makes them sad to go to the graveyard, but that is where the body of their loved one lies.
Spirit is energy. The connection that you created while on Earth is what holds you together. It is not the structures or the material things on Earth that bind you but instead it is the love you shared that keeps you together. Spirit prefers to connect with you when you are comfortable and at peace, not in a cold graveyard. On the other side there is no time or space, so wherever you are your loved one can find you.
You don’t have to be a medium to receive messages from the spirit of your loved one.
A medium is there to confirm what you already know and to teach you how to connect.
If you take the time to acknowledge the signs you will find comfort and peace. These are some of the ways spirit can get your attention:
Electricity– It is not uncommon for spirits to affect electricity. You may find burnt out light bulbs, or other devices turning on and off for no apparent reason.
Music-Your loved one may also communicate through music. Songs that are special may suddenly come on the radio. You might hear a song with a special theme and it will give you guidance.
Sent-Smells are a commonly used sign from your loved ones who have crossed over. Our sense of smell can bring back many memories. A quick scent of your grandmother’s perfume, your uncle’s cigar or your husband’s cologne signifies his or her spirit is near.
Coins– If you find a coin on your path, take notice! Know that it was deliberately placed there to let you know that you are loved. It is there to get your attention and to confirm that your loved one’s spirit is nearby.
Feathers– These are colorful reminders that your loved one is communicating, especially when you find feathers in a place, which is somewhat unusual.
Feelings– You may feel as if someone has just walked past you, when no one is there, or you may get the impression that someone is present in a room with you when it is empty. You may feel a strong sense of love; pay attention to these feeling for it is your loved one making a connection.
Seeing– There are times when you may see something move out of the side of your eye, a flash of light or a shadow, these are also signs from above. Pets are notorious for showing their spirit body by quick movements of light that are lower to the ground.
Meditation– My favorite way to communicate is to sit quietly in a meditative state for at least fifteen minutes a day. By doing this you give your love one the opportunity to connect. As you sit you may get a sensation that his or her energy surrounds you. You may experience a change in temperature in the room. You may feel warmth or your may get the chills, tingles or even a sensation of being caressed. A light pressure in your head or on the back of your neck as spirit energy moves close to you. You may also feel that you are not alone and sense the presence of someone else in the room. This should not be uncomfortable, for me it is exciting to know that my loved ones are near.
Within your day messages are all around you, it is your job to take notice, smile up to heaven and give thanks for the communication. As I conclude, I would like to share a message from spirit:
“I am not in a grave.
I am not waiting by my tombstone.
I am not confined to an urn.
I am not in the house, that you are afraid to sell.
I am not sitting in my old worn chair.
There is no need to come find me, for I am always with you.
I am an energy that is free to travel.
When my body was too sick to hold on to me, I moved out as if I was shedding some old clothes.
So many memorable faces greeted me.
As they received me they turned back to energy, this was not strange.
Quite the contrary, it was familiar.
I had a deep sense of knowing.
My senses changed I had the ability to see beyond the closed mind of a brain.
A reunion
Love ascended upon me
I am home
Yet in an instant I will be near you, to let you know that I am not lost.”
