Day of the Dead

The month of October will come to an end with Halloween or “All Hallows Eve” when the veil between the realm of living and dead becomes the thinnest. This is the day for spirit communication. The following day, “All Saints Day,” is the time to honor our guardian angels, spiritual companions and the saints that work hard to guide us throughout the year. The day after, November 2nd, we celebrate “The Day of the Dead” or “All Souls Day.” As a medium, this day is very important to me because it is the day that we honor the souls that have transitioned into the realm of the afterlife.

The Day of the Dead is part of my everyday life, and it is an honor for me to be able to work with the dead. For those who have had the opportunity to have a session with me, you may have noticed that I take a few minutes of silence before each session begins to ask the Angel of Death for permission to enter his realm. At the end of the session, I take another minute to give thanks to the dead as I close the door of communication.

On November 2nd, I will do a special ceremony of gratitude. I will give thanks and light a candle for all the spirits who allowed me to communicate with them this year. Then I will light another candle for the spirit of my loved ones as I reflect on the life we shared. I will end with a prayer and a meditation.

I hope you can find the time to connect with spirit on this powerful day.
