Memories of the Material World

When I start a session, I explain to my client that when you die you loose all attachment to the material world. You do not care about your hair, your car or any of your material possessions. As I opened up to the energy field of my client Jen, I saw the spirit of her grandmother.

Jen was very excited because she was very close to her grandmother and longed to have communication with her. I could see her grandmother sitting in a winged-backed chair. Her hair and make-up were nicely done, and she had on a very colorful pantsuit. The room around her was filled with things. I smiled and told Jen that most spirits do not care about the material, but her grandmother was the exception. I could feel that her belongings were very important to her. Jen confirmed to me that her grandmother loved her things. Her hair was always perfect, and she wore a lot of color. I explained to Jen that this does not mean that her grandmother is still on Earth sitting with her stuff, but instead, her grandmother feels that appearing with her possessions makes it easy for her to be recognized. Jen agreed that it would not be her grandmother without beautiful hair, make-up and her collection of knick-knacks.

When a spirit communicates with a medium, the spirit chooses a memory that was very important in his or her life and a memory that a loved one will recognize. Memories are what keep your relationship long after death. When you have a vision of your loved one sitting in the back yard or sitting at the kitchen table or fishing at a favorite lake, this is their way of keeping your connection eternal.

Spiritual Dying

In the last year I have expanded my services. The name of my new service is Spiritual Dying. Through my work as a spiritual medium, I have found the magnificence of the world that is beyond. As I have watched souls transition, I have become extremely passionate about the dying: The peace, the celebration and the love that envelops the soul as it crosses over.

During a recent message circle, I met a lovely woman who was called Grandma by her family. Grandma was very happy that I was able to communicate with her mother. I felt her mother had a peaceful death, almost joyful. They were able to say their goodbyes, and much love was exchanged in the days before her mother crossed over.

Grandma told me that in the days before her mother’s death, her mother would point above the dresser and describe three angels waiting for her. Her mother explained that these angels were sitting on the dresser waiting for her to say her goodbyes. Both Grandma and her mother felt peace knowing that these angels were going to help her to go home. This vision brought great comfort to both of them.

When I go to the bedside of the dying, I communicate what I see to the family. With this information, they are able to help their loved one let go and move fully into this beautiful journey. Within hours the soul is released. What can be perceived as a difficult time is transformed. The family feels empowered by the love that surrounds the dying as he or she peacefully moves into the light.

Just like Grandma, everyone can have the comfort and the knowledge of the presence of the spirits that are waiting to escort their loved ones home.

Buster Now Buddy

Animals are pure beings of light. They come into our lives to help us on our Earth’s journey. Because our lives are constantly changing, so are our needs. This is one of the reasons why these furry beings live a life shorter than ours. You may even notice that when your pet crosses over, your life begins to go in a different direction. It is as if your pets soul knew that you needed this change. Remember this soul has not left you but will watch you from above until it is the right time to join together again. The soul of your pet will create a way for you to find each other again.

Karen and her husband, Michael, came to see me at one of my events. She was happy to hear from her loved ones, but what really brought her joy was to hear from her beloved dog Buster. Buster told me to let her know that he will be back with her and her husband.

Karen became so excited that she became anxious for Buster’s return. She had a negative experience but did not give up hope. The next time we spoke I confirmed that he is back. Karen and Michael went to the shelter immediately and met a dog. It was love at first sight, and an hour later Buster, now Buddy, was lying on Buster’s favorite chair.

Karen shared, “Buster and I had a thing we used to do: Buster would just stand someplace looking like he wanted something. So I would say to him ‘Do you need a hug?’ Buster would automatically sit and I would give him a big hug. Buddy was just standing in the bedroom where we have Buster’s ashes and pictures, looking like he wanted something. So I said ‘Do you need a hug?’ He automatically sat like he had done a hundred times before, and I gave him a big hug. Tears of joy streamed down my face because I knew it was truly Buster. It’s so wonderful to have him home!”

When your pet crosses over, through your sadness understand that you will be together again.

Phone Session Verses In-Person

さようなら
A question that I have been asked many times this year is, “What is the difference between a phone session and an in-person session?” Here I will explain the differences between these two types of readings. This question has come up often these days because of people’s concerns about Covid-19.

I have been doing phone sessions for many years, and I am very comfortable with them. As a medium, I am able to bridge into my client’s energy field, even at a distance. I close my eyes and remove all attachment to the space between us. For Spirit, there is no time or space, so Spirit does not observe this space between. Within each client’s energy field lies the connection with the spirits. Once I have made this connection, I am then able to receive words, visions and emotions from the spirits of your loved ones.

Foremost, the comfort level of my client is important. Using the phone from their own home gives some clients more confidence, making them feel calm and relaxed. There are times when they are more comfortable discussing or asking about personal topics because this privacy is important to them. Being at home brings them a sense of anonymity.

With that said, there are others who find the comfort and the nurturing that is found in an in-person session to be very important. In person I am still able to remove the image of my client’s physical body and move into the communications from their energy field. The reading is the same, but what is important is the space that my client needs to receive healing.

I am also sometimes asked about video readings. For me the energy of electronics is a detriment. My phone readings are done on a landline, and during my in-person readings, the computer is shut down. I make sure that my environment is always conducive to a higher vibration.

Whatever reading is right for you, I am here to help you heal through the connection and messages of the spirit of your loved ones.

A New Year

I truly hope that you had a blessed holiday. I spent my holiday thinking of all of my clients who are grieving and who feel so alone. Despite our current circumstance, those who are grieving truly understand what it is like to be without.

This year we are entering an era of change, making this New Year more significant than ever. There is so much uncertainty, so many restrictions and adjustments, so many broken dreams and the locking down not only of our bodies, but also of our minds and souls. Even though we are separated and alone, we truly are all in this together.

During your meditation, imagine that all of us are together. Imagine all of us as one. As we began to rise together and raise our vibration together, visualize the fear that is wrapping our world disappearing and our world starting to heal. Begin to remember who you are and why you are here at this point in time. What a wonder it would be if everyone remembered his or her soul mission. With our lifestyles forcibly simplified, we have been given the time to unlock our minds to the endless possibilities of our missions. What changes we could make by doing this simple meditation.

There is no limit to the changes we can create and inspire when we come together. We can allow the light within us to shine throughout the world for a universal healing.

A Holiday Greeting 2020

xmas-card-x700
This year is coming to an end. We’re entering the holiday season, and pretty soon we will bring this year to a close. I doubt that anyone is sorry to see 2020 go. But I have to remember that hope will shine in the year to come. For me this year has been full of lessons. I feel I’ve been forced to take a deeper look at my own life. I’ve had the time to look more deeply at the things that really matter. I’ve realized how much I have to be thankful for.

I would like to thank those who have had patience when my events had to be rescheduled because of Covid. I would also like to thank those who allowed me to communicate with the spirit of their loved ones. I learn so much from each spirit. Each time they remind me of the love that transcends the beyond and the connection that they have with you even after death.

When I communicate with the spirit of your loved ones, they remind me that we have so many more opportunities than we realize. I love the quote by Melody Beattie, “The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written.” If you are grieving the death of a loved one, do not grieve alone. Know that your loved one is near and wants to communicate with you whether it is through me or as a special sign throughout your day. I hope to see you in this coming year, whether it is at one of my events, a phone session or in-person. I love when you share your story and thank you for the trust you have in me.

Cherry Blossom and the Misty Moon

art-and-creative-wallpaper-preview

I want to share a story with you which was originally published in the book Zen: The Path of Paradox by Osho.

Cherry Blossom and the Misty Moon

It happened about a very famous Zen woman, her name was Rengetsu…. Very few women have attained to the Zen ultimate. This one is one of those rare women. She was on a pilgrimage, and she came to a village at sunset and begged for lodging for the night, but the villagers slammed their doors. They were against Zen. Zen is so revolutionary, so utterly rebellious, that it is very difficult to accept it. By accepting it you are going to be transformed; by accepting it you will be passing through a fire, you will never be the same again.

So traditional people have always been against ALL that it is true in religion. Tradition is all that is untrue in religion. So those must have been traditional Buddhists in the town, and they didn’t allow this woman to stay in the town; they threw her out. It was a cold night, and the old woman with no lodging… and hungry. She had to make a cherry tree in the fields her shelter. It was really cold, and she could not sleep well. And it was dangerous too — wild animals and all.

At midnight she awoke — because of too much cold — and saw, as it were, in the spring night sky, the fully opened cherry blossoms laughing to the misty moon. Overcome with the beauty, she got up and made a reverence in the direction of the village….

Through their kindness in refusing me lodging I found myself beneath the blossoms on the night of this misty moon. She feels grateful. With great gratitude she thanks those people who refused her lodging, otherwise she would be sleeping under an ordinary roof, and she would have missed this blessing — these cherry blossoms, and this whispering with the misty moon, and this silence of the night, this utter silence of the night. She is not angry, she accepts it. Not only accepts it, welcomes it — she feels grateful.

A person becomes a Buddha the moment she accepts all that life brings with gratitude. He is on the Way, she is on Tao; and he IS becoming meditative.

For most we can see that our lives have not turned out as expected. We have found ourselves on a road that we did not choose. A different career, a death of a loved one, an end of a relationship, but through these disappointments, just as Rengetsu we can too find the gratitude in a situation that seems unfair.

As I read this story, I realized not much has changed. People of today are still caught in their limitations of religion, politics, and appearances. As I lived through this year of hatred and fear, I’ve come to realize that I cannot change the world. Instead of getting enveloped in the hate, I choose to go within and ask for a higher understanding. We too can make reverence in the direction of our world. In our dark night see the opening of the cherry blossoms and in the utter silence of the night find peace, love, acceptance and gratitude.

Dream Visitation

We all have the ability to reach the spirit world. As I have said many times, “Meditation is the best and clearest way for contact”. However, most people find it hard to sit quietly to raise their vibration in order to communicate with the spirit of their loved one. Another way for communication is through dreams. Many clients joyfully tell me that they have vivid visitations from spirit during sleep. Others have expressed concern because their loved one never visits in a dream. I am also told that some dreams are

confusing and too muddled to be of value. There are various types of dreams some are psychological, which help you release the worries or your day, but appear to be muddled. Others are visitations.

Your spirit cannot be housed in your body for twenty-four hours. During sleep the soul moves into the golden realm. At this time the soul is schooled for what it must endure in daily life. According to your soul’s awareness, you will find both your lessons, and also where you can rejoin with the spirits of friends and family. This is where the visitation happens. If you wake up too quickly you may find it hard to move your body. This is because your soul has not yet returned. After a slight struggle the soul moves into the body and you are then able to wake up. There are those who need to give themselves time to remember this visitation. Others find the memory comes quickly. If parts of it seem muddled do not focus on the psychological release, but instead hold on to the feeling of the visitation. Always give thanks.

If it is harder for you to remember your visitation you may have to prepare before bedtime. Find a soothing ritual to help you relax, a warm bath, music, or a peaceful contemplation. Ask your loved one if you may make conscious contact with him. Assure he or she that you are healing your grief and the visitation will empower you.

Surrender to the outcome and before long you will have your visitation. Before you lies a path of never ending progress. Do not let the heaviness of grief hold you down, but instead go forward on your path of enlightenment.

What Brings You Joy?

My vivid memories as a child are the summers leading into Fall. I remember the hot nights, while catching lightning bugs, the walks with my father to the corner store for ice cream, and listening to the thunderstorms roll in while I watched from our back porch. But what really brought me joy was the cool air of autumn approaching by the end of August. I also loved the beautiful colored leaves, my Uncle Sam’s pumpkin field, and the joyful anticipation of Halloween.

Through the years many of the simple things still bring me joy. When I am invited to give messages from spirit at a message circle, I am fortunate to be brought back to the little joys of life. Spirit allows me to see the family gatherings of the past and feel the love while sharing the simple pleasures. Pleasures such as grandpa sitting on the porch enjoying his cigar, and grandma telling her favorite stories. I feel the emotion in a beautiful message from a spouse sharing his memory of the day he first fell in love. As I bring you back to the remembrance of the simplicity of life it is important to hold on to that feeling of love.

Our world is going through a difficult time and the negative energy is overwhelming. I have no doubt that the light will shine through this darkness but it will take time. You can live your best life even through these times. We are on this earth for a relatively short time. While you are here, there will always be lessons to learn. What makes life worth living is to allow yourself to experience joy.

I have a beautiful maple tree in my back yard. I have created a native woodland garden and hung a comfy swing. Each night I sit there feeling with the same joy I felt as when I was a child. As I sit in my yard, I watch my plants gradually turn to autumn colors and I allow these simple things to still bring me joy.

Open To The Light

spiritlight-2 copy 2
In the last few months our lives have been narrowed by the circumstances in our world. This has created the ability to focus on the things right in front of us that we take for granted too often. We have been forced into the silence of our own mind. That is why, at this time more than ever, it is essential to clear our minds from the chatter of the world.

We have been taught to go outside of ourselves in order to control situations that we really have no true power over. This true power lies within. The answer from spirit is when spiritual challenges arise, go deeper. Deeper means the place within, where your soul can express the ultimate meaning of your life. The peace we’re looking for is deep inside.

Spirit guides and angels are the voice to your inner world.
Surrender your thoughts in prayer. Instead of asking for a new outcome, ask instead if you are making the most of the experience that has been presented to you. This will open you to an unbelievable path.

As I connect with the world of spirit my fear melts away. As I open to the light, there are endless possibilities. At my events, and even in my life, like-minded people fill my rooms with love and healing.

I am truly blessed, as you are, in having these wonderful beings patiently waiting to communicate with you.
