Connecting with the Essence of your Loved One

nature-animal-fog-freedom-52500
A question that I am asked over and over again is, “Why in my time of need do I not feel the spirit of my loved one watching over me?” First I would like to say that your loved ones are watching over you. What I would like to talk about in this blog is how you can receive verification that they are trying to connect. For me to convince you that they are near is not my point; my focus instead is to allow you to receive their messages.

All souls have a spectrum of frequencies or what we call vibrations. Even while in the physical body, you can work on raising the frequency of your soul. As you raise the frequency of your soul, you will easily join with the higher frequency in which the spirit of your loved one dwells. How to raise your vibrational frequency? Have an open mind, a mind that is free from fear, judgment and, most of all, an agenda. Surrender in prayer. Stop trying to control what you believe the outcome should be. Fill your thoughts with trust, peace, joy, love and acceptance. Stop the mental fight and surrender the outcome to a higher power. As if you were drowning, stop struggling and allow yourself to float. And as you float, be grateful that the struggle is over, and in this state of bliss, the communication will happen. As you practice this form of surrender, not only your mind but your whole being will be filled with the essence of your loved one.

As your frequency starts to change, you will begin to see the world around you in an uplifting way, and you will attract people with the same vibration. Together you will become a support system of hope. When this happens, you will start to view the world as if you were viewing it from Spirit. The gates of communication will open, and you will truly know that you have connected with your loved one’s spirit.

When I was writing my book Healing the Heart of Grief, I was fortunate to meet the spirit of a horse named Danny. Throughout the year he has given me many wonderful messages. Here is one I would like to share. “As a horse in life, I experienced fear and confinement. Not that humans ever meant me harm, it was just their way to keep me safe. What I have learned in spirit from my wild Mustang brothers is that I had the choice to look at my confined box and my small, grassed area as my endless world. If only at that time I had had the wisdom of my wild brothers… but instead I learned only the constrictions of mere survival. As I now run free in my heavenly pastures, I realize this is what life was supposed to be. My pastures were always endless, and my joy and excitement were the search for my next blade of grass. Remember the teachings of the wild brothers and that you too can run free. When you open your mind, you will no longer be in that confined box.”

Choose Hope Not Fear

pink moon
Native Americans call the March full moon the Worm Moon. They use the moon to track the seasons and prepare themselves for the work that needs to be done in order to survive. My interpretation of the Worm Moon is that it is time to nourish oneself just as the worm nourishes the soil. During the time of March’s Worm Moon we started to hear frightening stories of the Coronavirus, and shortly after we were asked to distance ourselves from others. It brought forth a time to go within, to let go all that is not needed in order to nurture ourselves.

In this time of uncertainty we must pull together to awaken the hope in each of us. Instead of allowing the fear to envelop us we must try to surrender and let it pass. By choosing hope instead of fear we can allow our bodies to become strong. Fear weakens the soul and the immune system, but hope lifts our spirits. Think of this as hibernation for humanity and a time to go within. This is our opportunity to slow down and find the positive and the beauty. As we sit in silence we will find our true belonging with ourselves, each other, and all life. As Maya Angelou has said, “Hope and fear cannot occupy the same space. Invite one to stay.”

We can look forward to the April Full Moon, which is called The Pink Moon. This moon symbolizes the sprouting of seeds. The pink phlox was one of the first flowers to bloom with the arrival of Spring. Let us create a shelter in love and hope so we can sprout new seeds in our souls and we can look forward to a new beginning.

A True Birthday

Through the years of being a spiritual medium, Spirit has taught me that once you cross over, your birthday changes. Spirit does not identify with the date of the arrival on earth any longer. However, the love and memories that you feel will always remain familiar to Spirit and are sent through the dimensions on this special day.

Before each birth there is much thought and planning from the higher realm. In order for a path to be created, a new life must be coordinated, even down to the date and time. This process is essential for the journey into the physical body, and the numbers play a huge role, creating the objectives for each life. When your entrance point has been determined, this date now becomes your birthday. It is the birth into the physical body.

In Buddhism we call the day of our birth our continuation day instead of our birthday. This is a wonderful tradition and helps us remember there is no ending, just a continuation into spirit. Even the day of death can be your continuation day. This day now becomes a day to honor. The day of your loved one’s death becomes a day for paying tribute even as you also lovingly remember a life on Earth. It is the birth into spirit, to our new home which is also our true home.

A New Year of Spritual Growth and Magic

candles-1
As we enter into the New Year it is very easy to fall into the habit of complaining about the past year and wondering if it will ever get better. Try not to focus on the negative events and allow yourself to wash them away from your memory. Instead, find gratitude for even the smallest thing that happened this past year.

It is very helpful to make a list of the things that you are grateful for. Let the universe know that you are aware of the good that has been sent your way. When you take the time to focus on gratitude, this feeling transmutes to love. This comforting feeling of love is felt throughout the universe and will bring Spirit near.

If your loved one crossed over this year find the memories of all that was good and let go of the difficult times. Let this person that you love know that you will now start a new Spirit relationship this coming year. Sit in a meditation and quietly allow this calming Spirit to wipe your tears away and surround you in that so familiar love. A growth in your Spirit and a new Spirit connection will happen to you. This can be your year of spiritual growth and magic.

Wishing you a new year that is full of love, peace and compassion!

Healing the Heart of Grief

For the past seven years, I have been gathering stories of hope from my clients, but also and more importantly, I have received messages from the spirits of those who have passed on, messages that have helped my clients heal knowing that there is no death. In February 2018, I began writing the book that would tell the healing stories of my clients and their loved ones on the other side. Finally on October 31st 2019, Healing the Heart of Grief: Stories of Hope from the Afterlife is ready for all to read.

While writing this book, I could feel the excitement of the spirits who were eager to share their stories. I found myself amazed by their descriptions of not only the afterlife but also of their journey in the life they had just left. I spent many long hours writing this book with these wonderful spirits guiding my hands. These loving beings became a voice for all the spirits who are watching their loved ones on Earth grieve.

For those who are grieving, I know that this book will bring you peace and healing. For those who are curious because they wonder what happens after death, this book with bring understanding and a new appreciation for life.

…With gratitude for all who have been a part of this journey.

An Analogy of a Soul Relationship

For the past two years, I have been writing my second book, Healing the Heart of Grief, Stories of Hope from the Afterlife. The book is finally in production and I am hopeful that it will be released by October 31st. I would like to take this opportunity to share an excerpt from my first book, A Second Chance to Say Goodbye.

Every person has a glimmer of light within. However, it may be obscured by fear and ego. Most of the time we don’t focus on letting this light shine. We clutter our minds with material thoughts. We worry about the past and are anxious about the future. To understand the condition of the departed soul relation to its loved ones still on Earth, make an analogy between our bodies and our homes. Usually most people live in several different houses during their lifetimes. They have new relationships when they move. The relationships they had in their old home may change, but the ties still remain. In other words, the soul may leave its house (body), but the ties to loved ones, and sometimes enemies, still remain.

No matter how many homes we live in, each relationship we share while living in these homes has a lasting impact on our life. Some relationships are stronger that others and the love from these relationships remains with us throughout our lives. For example, when our children leave home for college they begin new relationships. The ties they had with their parents change, but the connection is still there even though their homes have changed. Dying is a similar situation. Our soul moves through many bodies or lives, which, in theory, throughout these lives with our loved ones never dies.

Spend some time in contemplation. Go deep within yourself, beyond your ego, beyond your belief system and test your soul. This part of you is what will communicate with your loved one. Your belief system is part of your rational, thinking mind. Your soul transcends this limited aspect of your mind. This is the way it is supposed to be, a connection from soul to soul.

What is the Difference Between a Psychic Medium and a Spiritual Medium?

crystal_ball copy
There is really no difference between a psychic medium and a spiritual medium except the wording that the medium chooses. As long as the word “medium” is part of the title, the reading should consist of communication from the spirits of dead loved ones. However, there is definitely a difference between a psychic and a medium.

Psychics perceive and mediums receive. All mediums are psychics, but not all psychics are mediums. Psychics use the gifts of clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience. They gather information from their spirit guides and tune into the energy of the person being read. This enables them to interpret their past, present and perhaps view an insight into their future.

Mediums take it a step further. They have a stronger connection with the spirit of a loved one. The medium is able to give detailed evidence to demonstrate that they are connecting with a specific spirit. The medium does not provide predictions or give interpretation of love and finance. The purpose of the medium is to let his or her clients know that their deceased loved one is still a part of their life and to provide closure and healing.

I consider myself a spiritual medium because in my readings I try to bring forth a spiritual aspect of life and death. Readings are an incredible way to find comfort and to know that your loved one is safe and at peace. When spirit speaks through me, it is to heal grief or answer questions that linger in the mind of my client. I do not focus on a psychic or a prophetic reading even though many clients have later shared with me that during a reading the spirit of their loved one had given them advice on choices that will become part of their future and to their amazement these predictions have come true. As I have always said, “I am only as good as the dead person I am talking too.”

I am the communicator between two worlds, from the spirit of your loved one to you. I know my path is to give proof that life is eternal and to awaken you to a spiritual understanding.

Heaven Is a Place of Love Not Judgment.

pexels-photo-2397361Through the years of working as a medium, I have sat with many parents who have experienced the death of a child because of suicide. In my new book, Healing the Heart of Grief, the spirit of a young man shared his story after death. Here is an excerpt from his story.

When he arrived in Heaven, he was greeted with love, but there was a sense of disappointment. His angels told him that before he was born, he had agreed to meet all his challenges and had promised to overcome his misfortunes. Before birth he had agreed to face a difficult life so his soul could grow. Instead of honoring his pre-life commitment, he could only see himself as a victim, ending his life before he understood his lessons. This was discussed without any judgment, just facts. He pulled his mother’s soul down because of the way he ended his life. If his mother could find a way to pull herself up and find the triumph in their lives together, he would not have to add her karma to his own. He asked me to beg his mother to please help him to move on. I repeated his words as he pleaded, “Don’t take on the guilt that you had no control over. You can’t understand what it was like for me to get through each day. Please forgive me and be happy that I am not in pain any longer.”

Suicide May End a Life, but Underneath Is a Soul Who Longs to Go home.

I am very excited to announce that my new book Healing the Heart of Grief, Stories of Hope from the Afterlife, will be released this fall. Here is an excerpt from my book:

Dan worked as a teacher but, through the years, his passion for teaching had ebbed. Since his wife worked in the evenings, Dan had fulfilled his duties as a father by cooking dinner and helping Britney with her homework. He then withdrew into the basement.

Dan explained that, as the years went by, his depression became worse and, while it became harder to hide it, he refused to go for help. The idea of sharing his thoughts with someone was even more painful than the depression. He told Britney that after she left for college, his behavior became so difficult for her mother the marriage deteriorated quickly.

His spirit told me that he had very little memory of the night he hung himself. What he did recall was being in the kitchen holding a dishtowel over a dish and continually making circles over the dish. It felt as if he were in a trance. The reality of where he was and who was in the house was gone. He explained how he felt trapped, as if the walls were closing in. All he could focus on was getting out. Still in a trancelike state, he walked down the basement steps, went to a utility drawer, and took out a rope. He threw the rope over a beam and gradually tied a knot. He then carefully stepped up on a chair and slowly put the noose around his neck. At that moment, there was no other human existence in his mind. All he knew was that he had to get out before the walls closed in and he suffocated. He stepped off the chair.

The next thing he knew there was a bright light surrounding him, and he was held in the arms of his mother. He thought his pain would be over, but his mind was still heavy. In the distance he could hear Britney’s screams, and he wanted to jump up and help her, but the spirit of his mother held him down. She whispered in his ear, “My darling Danny, you can’t fix this. You are dead.”

This is one of the many inspirational stories, “Healing the Heart of Grief.” Can’t wait!!
