At the end of last year, I wrote about the death of my cat, Miso. I received many loving responses which truly touched my heart. I was so thankful for all the kind words. Letting go of anyone that we love is difficult. What has helped me through this time is communicating with her spirit. In this blog I want to share with you some techniques to communicate with and recognize signs from your pet.
While I was waiting for Carol, my veterinarian, to arrive at my home to euthanize Miso, I had a long talk with her. I asked her not to reincarnate but instead to wait for me in Heaven. Pets may reincarnate many times with you in this life, or they may wait for you to take your last breath and then welcome you into the afterlife. Pets will reincarnate fairly quickly. Depending on your life situation, they will gladly come back into your life. I recognized many years ago that Miso struggled with her health. I wanted her to go and rest. I was willing to be introduced to a new spirit. I knew she agreed and promised to stay close.
Communicating with pets that have died can be highly therapeutic, aiding the grieving process by relaying messages of love and closure. How do you recognize when your pet is trying to communicate with you? For me, it is usually during my meditation. I will see Miso standing in my vision. A feeling of warmth comes over me, and a connection is made.
Other signs are:
• Telepathic messages of thoughts or feelings.
• A shadow quickly moving at the bottom of your peripheral vision.
• Scents that remind you of your pet.
• The impression of a beloved pet jumping on the bed or sofa.
• Visitation in a dream.
• Objects related to your pet getting your attention.
• Clouds creating a vision.
• Your living pet suddenly staring into space. Animals have a keen ability to see spirit.
Pets and people who have shared the bond of love on Earth will always be connected by this energy. Love is a very powerful energy, creating its own communication. When we love our pet, this bond will not be broken by death. The souls are linked, and when you are in need of this companion, your pet will find his or her way into your arms. This connection will be made whether it is here on Earth or at the moment that you enter into the afterlife.
